About Our Organisation

Digital Society of Africa

Digital Society of Africa (DSA) is a distributed network of technologists and digital security consultants currently spread across six countries: Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa.

After nearly a decade of service in Southern Africa, DSA is stronger—and more impactful—than ever. With over 30 network members operating throughout the region, our team has completed 75+ security audits and supported more than 145 organisations in need. As online risks continue to rise, we believe our services—which include security audits, risk assessments, trainings, security accompaniments, security policy formulation, and tech support—have never been more vital.

Our digital security trainings are offered free-of-charge as a form of community activism that empowers others in our region to perform their essential human rights work. Each security audit or accompaniment performed by one of our expert trainers is a step forward against the growing tide of online surveillance, censorship, and suppression. At root, by offering local digital security solutions to those who need them most, we seek to shape a future in which local practitioner skills remain at the cutting edge for years to come.

If you are interested in obtaining digital security assistance for your network or organisation, please reach out to us via email: info@digitalsociety.africa.

Please Note: To ensure the authenticity and credibility of individuals claiming to represent DSA as consultants, we kindly advise reaching out to DSA directly for confirmation at the email listed above. This precautionary measure helps maintain the integrity of our engagements and protects the interests of all parties involved. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
